Wonderful food, service, and atmosphere. Special breakfast today was chicken fried steak. My husband said it was the best he has ever had. Breakfast sandwich was top notch with your choice of cheese. I had it on Montana wheat bread with Swiss. The owner is sweet and very attentive. Don't miss eating here in the heart of Montana. Gravy is homemade sausage!
I was so impressed I had to go back. lunch this time on the way back from vacation in Glacier National Park. I ordered tbe 406 burger . and the Man Dog They were amazing! It was a pleasure to be waited on by Alesha for the second time. She made me feel right at home with a positive attitude and pleasent conversation. Her customer service is outstanding! Whatever you're paying her it's not enough! I manage a Convenience store with 8 employees . So I know a little something about customer service. She's the Best. You lucky to have her representing your business.. Keep up the great work! Wish you guys were closer than 270 miles 1 way. Hahah I appreciated great Customer service and food worth paying for. Cheers
07/26/23 Came back to 406... finally had their breakfast... OMGOSH.... they weren't kidding when they said it's one of the best! It was amazing! My son told me to have the Biscuits and Gravey, very hesitant at first cause I never had them... I was in heaven, Biscuits were crunchy through the whole meal, gravey was thick with just enough sausage... WOW! Coffee was excellent! Staff was friendly, attentive just so around a awesome place to be. 406 is the only place we stopped to eat in Lewistown and I'm so glad we did. Its a little corner spot my son told me about, he went to eat there with his boss. We're from WA state so it was so nice to feel welcomed when we walked inside. The server, I wish I got her name, went above and beyond with us, she was very friendly got us laughing a couple of times. If they had 10 stars I would totally give it just on her attitude. The food was incredible! The fries are to die for, tasted my husband's.. tater tots were perfect, crunchy and just enough seasoning. Prices were worth everything we got, big portions. Next time we go visit we're definitely going to stop there for breakfast and lunch. Unfortunately we didn't get breakfast there, but from what everyone says, it's worth it.
We know the owners and went to the 406 Cafe in Lewistown, MT. This cafe is updated, organized and super clean. We love going to these downtown Mom & Pop shops because you get better food at a reasonable price! Their food is all fresh with great tasting home made recipes. I had outstanding biscuits and sausage gravy made from scratch. My wife is a french toast aficionado and had the best french toast she's ever tasted. Great place, awesome home cooked food, super clean and inviting. And the fresh made cinnamon rolls are the best! Thanks Chris and Letta!
We were greeted immediately by a warm and welcoming server. She immediately sold the table of 4 on their hand cut, hand breaded, local beef chicken fried steaks. The food was a 12/10, I’ve never had a better chicken fried steak in my life.
Stunning delicious food to start your day with breakfast that is served by wonderful staff who makes you feel at home in a friends kitchen. The pancakes, bacon and chocolate milk that I ate kept me full most of the day same with my daughter and the French toast with sides she had! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who will be in Lewistown for any reason and I can't wait to go back to try the lunch food.

This is a cute little place to get a good breakfast if you are stopping through Lewistown. The omelette was perfect, eggs were fluffy and it was perfectly cooked, no burn or crisping at all. The Denver omelette was absolutely loaded with peppers, ham chunks and onions, I appreciated how stuffed it was. The chicken fried steak was hearty and delicious. Hash browns were perfectly crispy. The servers are friendly and warm and made sure your coffee cup was always topped off. Nice atmosphere, very cute and felt like a nice small town cafe.
